The Spirit of Legends

Winglore Spirits was founded by a team of fighter pilots with a clear goal: to create a whiskey brand that honored their community, reflected their bold spirit, and could hold its own in a competitive market. They came to Makers & Allies with a vision, and damn good taste in whiskey.

What followed was a full-scale brand creation: strategy, identity, packaging, digital, and launch. We built a brand ready to impress investors, land shelf space, win over consumers, and make noise in a crowded category. Every detail was designed to deliver impact, from the custom glass and crest to the web experience and social launch assets.

The result? Winglore exceeded their fundraising goals, went to production, launched with authority, and sold out their first run. A brand built for legends, off to a legendary start.

We partnered closely with the founders to build a brand that felt as fearless and iconic as the community it represents. Starting with a comprehensive brand strategy, we established Winglore’s positioning, audience focus, and narrative framework: bold, irreverent, and built on fighter pilot culture. From there, we developed a full brand identity system grounded in storytelling. The name, logomark, and message architecture were all designed to reflect call sign culture and the spirit of this community. With pillars like “Toast. Roast. Lore.” and a promise to honor every pour with meaning, the brand voice balances grit with camaraderie, crafting a foundation that unites founders, friends, and future fans alike.

Product Design

Built to capture attention and command respect, the Winglore bottle was designed from the ground up with military-grade intent. Inspired by the angular geometry of a fighter jet, the custom glass is both striking and symbolic, with its sculpted silhouette nodding to precision, strength, and legacy. Every element serves a function beyond aesthetics. The embedded crest plaque evokes aviation insignia and gives the bottle a sense of honor and rank. The magnetic closure secures a removable medallion, made to be kept as a token from the mission. Easter eggs can be found embossed in the glass for an IYKYK moment for aviation enthusiasts. And the label system, clean and minimal, lets the storytelling shine through detail: call sign–inspired type, subtle metallic finishes, and a tiered structure that sets the foundation for future expansions.

For the Winglore launch, we crafted a digital experience as bold as the brand itself. Designed to mirror the sharp lines and commanding presence of the custom glass, the website is cinematic, immersive, and built to educate and excite. From the landing scroll to product highlights that emulate a military personnel file, every moment was made to echo the spirit of elite aviators. The final result is a launchpad that doesn’t just introduce a brand, it recruits believers.

From launch to lift-off, we built Winglore’s social presence from the ground up. Starting with a bold strategy rooted in camaraderie, storytelling, and swagger. Drawing from the brand’s publishing pillars of Toast, Roast, and Lore, we crafted a monthly content plan designed to celebrate whiskey craftsmanship, community legends, and fighter-pilot-worthy banter. With a visual playbook and distinct brand voice in hand, we launched and managed Winglore’s Instagram and Facebook channels, establishing a recognizable identity while fostering early engagement. The result: a digital squadron where every pour is a story, and every post invites you to “Join the Squadron.”
