Wine Label & Packaging Design for Cadre Wines

A "cadre" is a small group that unites to promote a greater cause. Cadre Wines is a collection of coastal California wines that showcases how exceptional white wines can thrive in the cool climate of Edna Valley. Produced by winemaker John Niven, whose deep roots helped establish the SLO Coast AVA, each varietal reflects the vineyards and landscapes within five miles of the Pacific Ocean.

Our wine label design for Cadre captures this sense of place with custom illustrations inspired by the art of Joris Hoefnagel. Every bottle features watercolor depictions of native flora, fruit, and shells, creating a visual story that connects the vineyard’s terroir to the wine inside. This packaging design blends fine art with functionality, elevating Cadre’s brand identity while bringing the coastal beauty of California to life.
