Among the vineyard-covered hillsides of the western Santa Ynez Valley, if you know where to look, you'll see a distinctive mid-century modern rooftop covering a barn made entirely of red brick. Once home to 27 Arabian horses, an eye-catching interwoven brick pattern covers the walls and walkways of the barn, created by an Italian stonemason in the early 1970s. Today, this barn is home to Brick Barn Wine Estate.
The Brick Barn team approached us with a goal to create a label that spoke to their unique history as well as the quality of their wine, while providing a clearly recognizable icon from afar. Copper foil accents the custom icon we created in homage to the slanted roofline you see as you enter their winery, while a subtly embossed brickwork pattern adds depth to the package once the bottle is in hand. The result, a beautiful lineup that unifies their wide portfolio and serves as a keepsake to anyone who has visited this memorable locale.
